Submission Guideline

IAB Membership NumberA current, valid IAB membership number alongside a copy of the applicant's NID or passport bio-page. For those submissions where the lead architect does not hold IAB membership, a member of the "official team" must be a fellow/member/associate member of IAB and his/her membership number shall have to be mentioned.

Declaration of Project CompletionA declaration form from the lead designer confirming the month and year of project completion shall be required. However, no project completion certificate is required for "Unbuilt Visionary Projects".

Project DescriptionA narrative of maximum 500 words articulating the project's concept, design intent, functional program, materials employed, defining features, and relevant contextual considerations.

Project SpecificationAll submitted projects shall have to be located within Bangladesh and other than the "Unbuilt Visionary Projects" be either functional or ready for occupancy. However, projects submitted under the “Unbuilt Visionary Project” category must be unrealized professional projects or completion entries. Academic projects are not eligible for this category.

File SubmissionA maximum of two A0-size sheets in landscape format are recommended. Each submission panel shall include: floor plans, sections, and elevations with clear scale notation; if needed self-explanatory drawings with consistently labeled areas; site dimensions and north orientation; 7-10 photographs of the completed project at 300 DPI; and 3D visualizations of "Unbuilt Visionary Projects".

Resolution and File SizeAll digital content shall be at a resolution of 300 DPI. Submissions should comprise a single combined PDF file not exceeding 100 MB.

Anonymity of SubmissionNames of the participants or their practices must not appear anywhere on the presentation sheets.

Only the architects of the shortlisted projects will be requested to submit the following supplementary materials for the 2nd round of the Jury process:

Additional RequirementsEntrants whose projects are shortlisted shall be required to submit a supplementary video presentation in MP4 format, with a maximum duration of two (2) minutes and a file size not exceeding 2 GB. Specific instructions will be provided upon shortlisting. For the DELTA Sustainability and Resilience Award category, shortlisted projects will also be assessed through the scientific evidence-based EDGE App introduced by IFC. Architects of all submitted projects will be invited to an introductory webinar. With expert assistance from IFC, architects of shortlisted projects will attend a personalized EDGE App demonstration session and must submit a short EDGE report evaluating their project.

Site VisitThe jury board may, at its discretion, also appoint independent reviewers to visit the selected shortlisted project sites.

Project PanelsOne (1) A0-sized panel for each of 5 notable projects (either built or unbuilt), totaling 5 panels.

Professional CVA brief curriculum vitae highlighting professional achievements, including previous design competition wins or architectural awards.

Academic CredentialsA summary of all academic qualifications, teaching experience, or scholarly contributions.
