Master Classes

Masterclass I

Beyond the Lines: Seeing, Thinking and Remembering Through Sketching

With Ar. Dr. Sajid Bin Doza, Associate Professor, Department of Architecture, BRAC University

Time04:00 PM – 05:15 PM
DateThursday, 12 November 2026

Discover how sketching can transform the way we see, understand, and remember the world around us. This hands-on workshop explores observation, spatial understanding, architectural details and live sketching – revealing how simple lines can capture the character of a place, communicate ideas, and preserve the memory of our built heritage. No artistic perfection is required; curiosity and the willingness to observe are all one needs.

Masterclass II

Space vs Focal Length: How the Lens Shapes Architecture

With Ar. Asif Salman, Architect, Photographer

Time11:00 AM – 12:30 PM
DateFriday, 13 November 2026

Using a live 3D model, this workshop shows how focal length changes the way a space reads, making rooms deeper or shallower, walls nearer or farther, and scale larger or smaller. Participants will see one space through different lenses and learn to choose a focal length deliberately when photographing or rendering architecture.

Masterclass III

Art meets Design

With Wakilur Rahman, Curator, Artist

Time02:45 PM – 04:15 PM
DateFriday, 13 November 2026

This meeting explores the intersections of art, design, and architecture, and how their relationships can spark conversations about cities, publicness, and the public realm. It asks how artists, designers, and architects can learn from each other, exchange perspectives, and collaborate to imagine and create spaces in new, unique, and meaningful ways.
